Home Inspections

A home inspection is a visual, non-invasive inspection of your home. Licensed and trained professionals in the field will visually inspect key areas such as, but not limited, to structural components, exterior and interior features, roof systems, electrical systems, plumbing systems, heating & cooling systems and insulation & venting.

Oil Tank Searches

Some homes may have underground oil tanks buried underneath the property. Sometimes, there is little to no indication the tank even exists. Before older homes were converted to gas, underground oil tanks were placed underground and stored the oil that heated the home. A lot of times, the tanks were either forgotten about or abandoned.

Sewer Scope Inspections

A sewer scope is a video inspection of the lateral sewer line from the house at or near the foundation to the city or HOA tap. The purpose of a sewer scope is to discover and report defects that are visible in the lateral sewer line. The scope typically also identifies the material used within the sewer line itself.

Radon Testing

Radon is a cancer causing radioactive gas and is known as the second leading cause of cancer. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has estimated that 20,000 lung cancer deaths per year are caused by radon. You cannot see, smell or taste Radon. The only way to protect yourself and your family is to have your home tested. If unsafe levels are present you have the option to mitigate your home to safe levels.

Wood Destroying Insect Inspections

Termites, carpenter ants, powder post beetles and carpenter bees are classified as wood destroying insects. Termites normally will cause the greatest structural damage, however carpenter ants, powder post beetles and carpenter bees can also cause significant damage. We will evaluate the home’s exterior to identify any signs of termites or other wood destroying insect activity. The inspection includes physical and visual inspections, which most of the time includes inspecting, tapping and probing susceptible wood.
